DonnaK Posted August 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2010 As a follow-up to the thread about mini-suite categories, some of us were wondering if there is anything besides location that differentiates the categories for regular balony cabins. For example, are all the balconies covered, or are some partially covered and others totally uncovered? Does this vary by ship?
Pam in CA Posted August 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Most standard balcony cabins have covered balconies. Caribe deck balcony cabins are much larger and are half-covered/half-uncovered. FYI, just because they are covered doesn't mean they are private. They aren't particularly so as anyone in a balcony below can see up and into your balcony plus there is staff on the bridge 24/7 with binoculars checking the balconies for fire. paul929207 Posted August 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2010 The main difference in the balcony cabins is location. The most expensive (BA) are generally viewed as the most desireable. As to covered or uncovered, that will vary by ship.

LOL - wasn't looking for privacy. Just shade and protection from the sun.
