ISO "Family" hotel in San Juan, PR 4/23/2006 AOS

Hey all, :cool:

I am booked for my first cruise AOS 4/23/2006 San Juan PR and I will probably spend a couple days in PR before boarding. Can anyone recommend a gay or gay friendly hotel (if one exists)? I don't want to do much but relax and sun (preferably no tan lines). :rolleyes: If anyone has any suggestions / recommedations post away. :cool:

Sure there are gay friendly hotels in San Juan! I believe the Hotel Miramar, At Wind Chimes Inn, and the Atlantic Beach Hotel all do. My wife and I stayed at El Canario by the Sea which is in the gay district (Condado) but we didn't notice that it was especially gay-friendly...actually we didn't see anybody else there! It is just up the street from the Condado location of Condom World and there is a gay bookstore there too. Unfortunately I don't know anything about nude sunbathing in San Juan.

The Atlantic Beach hotel is a "family" hotel. When I was there years ago(about 13years ago) there was a smaller hotel I think call the Embassy Inn??? across the street that was ok too. It was much less expensive than the average Atlantic Beach and just as nice.

The Waterclub is excellent. It is very trendy and very gay friendly. They have a rooftop pool and bar and seating all over the roof. I was there last year and there were many gay men at the hotel. They also have a disco bar on the lobby level. When I first got there I thought it was a gay hotel because that is all we saw. Great place to stay. Check out their website http://www.waterclub.com
