I am going to jump on here to add my comments. We were on eh October 27th Explorer 9 night out of Bayonne. Loved it! Absolutely loved it! We did smell the "sewer" smell of what seemed like backed up toilets, though there was no problem with the pluming at all. Every one smelled it, so it was not just one or two people. But they were trying to take care of it, there were some fans and other things to try to get rid of the smell. It seemed to be concentrated mid ship, not on the outside at all, so if you ever wanted to get away, all you had to do was go up to the pool deck, which is where we should all be anyway, right?

 

We have sailed the Explorer the last 3 years, love the ship. Go for it!
