GypsyOBRN Posted September 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Has anyone have feedback regarding this hotel precruise? Thanks, Beth
Kikkycat Posted September 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2010 The IC is an excellent hotel and resort pre or post-cruise! We've stayed there three times, and enjoyed it greatly. The location is right on a lovely beach, and within walking distance to several places to eat - something in every budget. The rooms are nice and comfortable. It's easy to get a cab to get you to the port or into OSJ if you want. What else do you want to know about it?

Kikkycat Posted September 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Two places, both within walking distance of the IC. One is Mi Casita, it's in the plaza right across the street from the IC. It really doesn't look like much from the outside, particularly the neon sign saying "diner". But it is GOOD and very inexpensive! Also, Metropol is nearby and is good for PR/Latin food. It's a bit more expensive. From the IC, turn left on Isla Verde Ave. and continue a few blocks towards the airport. Near where the street ends on the right is Metropol. I have stayed at both, Caribe Hilton and El Convento, in the past but was trying to find something a little cheaper but still nice for pre-cruise. I like that it has a beach and is not far away from the cruise terminal. Thanks you for advice, it is greatly appreciated!!
lovemylab Posted September 19, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2010 We stayed one night post cruise last November and LOVED it. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. The hotel is just a short ride from the airport (but also far enough away that you don't get the noise). We got it through priceline for around $100. We ate at the hotel. They have an outdoor restaurant near the beach that serves burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc. We found the food good and the prices were decent. I'd love to get this property again through priceline.
