CruisingRavyn Posted March 14, 2017 #26 Share Posted March 14, 2017 We will be in Costa Maya for our last port on April 6. We are only there for a few hours. I know the cabs will line up at the port when the ships come in and it will likely be easy to find a cab to Mahahaul. My question is how difficult is it to get a cab back to the port? Are they readily available or do you have to call for one? I'm a bit of a nervous nelly about missing the ship :o and tend to not venture out on my own unless I'm just walking from the port. This post has intrigued me and I would love to have some beach time here.
Dreamer115 Posted March 15, 2017 #27 Share Posted March 15, 2017 I'm also interested about that. Post 23 did say it was easy but that was 7 years ago.

Guess I shoulda read the date before posting. Maybe I can get a current answer in another feed. Hopefully people won't yell at me saying "there's already and feed for that!" Rare crewsweeper Posted March 15, 2017 #29 Share Posted March 15, 2017 There is a taxi stand at the corner of the malecon and Calle Sierra. But any club you are at can call you a taxi and direct you to the street or parking lot for pick up. Very easy to do. To hale a cab might be a bit difficult. The street closest to the malecon, Huachinango, runs one way north to south, as in coming from the port. The next street over, Sardina, runs south to north and that's the street taxis heading back to the port would use, so they could be full.
