Alegria-Paz Posted September 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2010 The Eurodam from Ft. Lauderdale to Barcelona (April 2011) has no shore excursions listed. When can I expect to find the excursions on the website? Any thoughts? Thank you so much!
Mary Ellen Posted September 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2010 There is no 'set' answer. We have a cruise in March next year and some ports have been available for over 4 months, some ports just a month or so. All you can do is keep checking. Good luck. Krazy Kruizers Posted September 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Being as your cruise is a repositioning cruise -- start checking around Thanksgiving. I have found that on many of our repositioning cruises the shore excursions didn;t start to show up until 5 months or less. One time one of our ports didn't show any excursions until 2 weeks before our cruise. Your ports are ones that are not visited on a weekly basis -- thus it takes longer to line up vendors. Thanks KK---that makes sense----the ports for the Nieuw Amsterdam repo in April haven't shown up either and I check daily. On the other hand, the ports from Barcelona to Venice haven't made an appearance yet. I am ready to pounce when they do.
Mary Ellen Posted September 24, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2010 Your ports are ones that are not visited on a weekly basis -- thus it takes longer to line up vendors. As I mentioned earlier, our next cruise in March has had some ports available for several months. This cruise is usually done only once or twice a year and our ports are certainly not visited on a weekly basis - or even monthly. So, there is no 'set' answer. Thanks, KK. This makes sense now. I've never had a problem with previous cruises (excursions were posted sometimes a year in advance), but those cruises were the type that repeated. Being that this is my first transatlantic/repositioning, I was not sure what to expect. So, thanks very much to you. (Like Sapper, I had been checking on a daily basis!)
