How much to cancel - 98 days out?

runner15 is correct. For a 5-day cruise, you should be able to get a full refund 61 days or more prior to sailing, unless you booked earlysaver. If you are booked earlysaver, the deposit will not be refunded. However, all but $50pp of the deposit can be applied toward final payment of a future cruise (up to 2 years out).

Don't forget that if you booked through a TA, some may charge you an additional cancellation fee on top of any fees that Carnival may charge. This is notorious with some so called discount or broker travel agencies.

 

It should all be clearly printed in super duper fine print in some well hidden page or link of the contract that I'm sure everybody reads before giving their credit card number to the agent :D
