art/shopping Colon side

We are taking the Tortuguero Canal trip but wonder if there will be time or a place to get someting made locally to bring home..either on the tour or near the pier.

In Colon, (Panama) there is a mall near the pier where many stores for souviners are located.

If you are taking the Tortoguero Canal tour, I would think you would do that in Costa Rica, in Limon. There is a craft market near the pier.

You mentioned the Torteguero canals. I presume you are talking about the stop at Limon, Costa Rica not Colon. There is a large craft market at the pier in Limon, as well as a large market at the pier at Colon.

Thanks--I was a bit confused in my post but will look for spots at both ports to bring home a local craft or painting.
