Time to leave Iguazu Falls National Park

Anyone know how long it would take when taking a taxi from the park to the airport in Puerto Iguazu? Does security take very long at the airport in town? I'm trying to figure out how late I can stay at the park, and catch a 5:30pm flight back to BA.

To be safe, allow one hour from the hotel door to the waiting lounge at the airport. That includes taxi and security. Then add extra time for your "comfort zone" of not cutting it too close and missing the plane. Another half hour?

 

By the way, they have good souvenir shops at the airport if you need to kill extra time.

Thanks for the info. This is just what I needed to know.

It took us only 15-20 minutes to go from the park to the airport about 1 1/2years ago. Since it is not very busy, security also took little time and we also caught the AR 5:30pm flight back to BA.
