hmp2z Posted November 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2010 Hi! I'm going to be bringing my dive equipment with me, and purchased a rolling mesh backpack to use to carry it on. I'd like to board with this as carry-on when I board the ship, and I'm hoping that, since it's a backpack, it will be allowed. It's large-ish, though, at 30"x16" in size. Has anyone had experience with bringing a large carry-on as your carry-on onboard luggage? Here's a link to what it looks like: http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/ARMRBBP.html Thank you! CruiserBruce Posted November 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2010 Shouldn't be a problem. They will xray at some point, so it has to fit there. Might have to check it aboard, rather than carry on.
terkatz56 Posted November 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2010 I just left a site...http://www.luggagesource.com, that tells you the dimensions allowed for each airline for carry on. I fly Delta, and you would be over for that carry on. Good Luck to you and happy cruising.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2010 The x-ray machines that are used at the ports are the same size as those used in the airports. So -- since it is 16 inches by 30 inches -- it should fit through. I am assuming that the it is 30 inches long??
