Luggage and Venice water bus

How much luggage can be carried on a water bus in Venice? We would have a 15 minute ride from Piazzale Roma to our hotel?

their web site says one piece of luggage and specifies the size.There is a charge for oversized luggage or additional luggage. From what I've read it's often the operator's choice as to whether or not to charge you for the extra. Perhaps it depends on how busy it is, how full the boat is ??

Think of a normal bus in the town where you live.

You would not take a ton of luggage onto it.

I have taken a 22inch roller bag+backpack.

I don't think much more per person is easily doable.
