A couple of NOLA questions

We are planning on having DH drop us at the port and then go back to the Drury on Poydras (sp?) and walk back to the port if the weather is decent. Can someone give us directions, or will it be obvious?

 

Also, someone on the NCL area was asking if it is possible to go to the Riverwalk once they have checked in for their cruise. They also wanted to know where to locate the door that leads from Riverwalk to the cruise terminal and if the door works both directions.

For 7.00 your husband can take a taxi back to the pier, just go inside the hotel and they will call one. It is a longer walk than you think.

We found this port traffic to be horrible. Its a mess to drop off anyone .. be forewarned.

Do you go a different direction to drop off than the cabs do? Is it easier to get in to park?

 

What time of day did you go to the port? Was the previous cruise late coming back, or did it seem like this was standard?

 

I'm just trying to figure out the best alternatives.
