Sunday in St. Thomas

Our ship will be in St. Thomas on a Sunday. Can anyone tell me about shopping on a Sunday - are the stores open all day or just mornings? Thanks.

We've been in St. Thomas on a Sunday and everything was open. Cruise passengers provide them with a lot of business so as long as there is a ship in port, they'll be open.

We were in St. Thomas on a Sunday last January and were the only ship in port. The downtown stores seemed to close around 1-2 PM as the crowds thinned out. The shops at Havensight stayed open later.

We have booked a shopping/beach tour with Godfrey tours, which happens to be on a Sunday. He says that shops close around 1.00 pm on Sundays in downtown Charlotte Amalie. We have 3 ships in port on our visit. Not sure if that's exactly true if there are 6 or 7 ships in port, but I think 3 hours shopping Sunday 9.00 am - 12 noon will be enough for us :D

we will be in st. thomas on easter sunday and i think it coincides with pre-carnival celebrations. has anyone (or a local expert) been there at that time and if so, can you tell me what might be going on that day?
