Star Clipper topless/thongs/speedo

Hey there......my wife and I are thinking about a cruise on Star Clipper in the Caribbean to the Treasure Islands. Does Star Clipper allow topless/thongs/speedos? We've never cruised before so don't know what to expect. Pictures on the web site look pretty formal--well, very nice, casual. Is that accurate or can we plan on wearing pretty much our swim suits all day, and again, is topless allowed? Thanks

Men can go topless on deck, but not in the public rooms:D

 

There are always a few German males onboard in speedos.

 

Been on three cruises on SC, & so far have not seen any females in thongs or topless....think you're outta luck there.

 

They are pretty relaxed, but not that relaxed. No swimming suits in the dining room. For breakfast or lunch, board short type suits & a shirt are Ok for men. Women would need a wrap over their suits. Dinner, men in long pants & collared shirt. Women in sundresses or better are the norm.

My personal opinion is that topless, thongs, and speedos belong on a beach, not on a cruise ship - ever. I especially hate speedos. No one wants to see your junk! :eek:

I am sure there are destinations that would accept your choice of

clothing (or lack of it), but a Star Clippers ship is not one of them.

Why not find yourself a good travel agent and explore clothing

optional locations. I think it would be a better choice.

You folks do know that Star Clipper Lines has done about one nude cruise a year for the past decade. The last few have been in the Med. The next one is in June out of Rome on the Royal Clipper.
