Anytime dining question

There will be 2 of us cruising in March and I was curious about how exactly ATD works. If we are sat at a larger table, will we be waiting until the table fills before we are served? How long does that take usually? I would prefer to mostly be sat with other people, because it gives us a chance to meet other people on the cruise and it takes the monotony out of just a table for 2.

I am debating on whether or not to call Princess and change to the late seating. The reason I chose anytime dining in the first place is because I don't plan on eating in the MDR every night (most likely only 4 nights out of 7).

Any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions are appreciated.:)

You will be asked at the door if you wish to join others and will escorted to the larger table accordingly. Yes, they wait until the table fills, but that should take only moments.

I would guess if you cruise in March, since that isn't far from now, you will not be able to change to traditional dining, as it usually fills up quickly. You could try, but I am going to say you have little chance switching at this late date. Good Luck!

We did anytime dining last year and really enjoyed it. We also asked to be seated at a large table each night and it was nice to meet so many different people. We never waited more than a couple of minutes for the table to fill up and in the meantime got to know those already seated. I think you will find that it is a good alternative to TD.

Just the reassurance I was looking for. Thanks so much
