Visiting Antigua on the Emerald Princess in April.

How far away are they from the cruise dock, St. John?

(Which one is closer)

Which has better snorkeling?

(more of a beginner-ish. not many deadly/scary animals)

Which has better beaches?

(no seaweed, no pebbles everywhere, sandy bottom, etc)

Which has better view- picture perfect areas?

(mountians/huge rocks in the water/islands in sight)

Which has less people, or at least not crazy crowded?

Thank you! =]

1. Johnson's Point (Turner's Beach) is much closer, with better roads. There is even a bus service to St Johns, where the cruise ships dock.

2. I've seen people snorkel at Turners, but haven't done it myself.

3. Just for walking on, I'd say Turners. I saw someone get a thorn in their foot at Half Moon Bay. Nasty! There isn't any clearing or cleaning done there, as it's more isolated.

4. Both have good views in their own way. Half Moon Bay is more dramatic. Mountains/Huge Rocks/islands? That would be the volcano on Montserrat from Turners.

5. Half Moon Bay is very quiet, just one guy selling snacks, no other facilities. Turners has 3 restaurants and a hotel, but I wouldn't call it crowded.

Is turners beach the same thing as johnsons point?

Thank you for all the information steve ch!

Johnson's Point is the headland at the south end of Turners beach. There is a beach on the headland itself, but the main activity is at Turners.
