Hotel/Casino near cruise pier

We'll be in San Juan next month on Explorer of the Seas. Since we're not docking until 4pm, our thought was that we would have an early dinner and go to a casino/hotel near the pier. Can anyone tell me what the closest one is and if it's within walking distance of the pier? Thanks...

There is Casino right across the street from the Old San Juan downtown piers. Five minute walk.

If you are only there for the day, you will be docking in old san juan. The Sheraton across the street has a Casino. Otherwise you can take a cab to Condado Beach area and there are more hotels with Casinos.

Easiest and closest is the Sheraton. You can see it from where you dock.

Yup Sheraton will by far be the closest. Condado is another option as mentioned above but will cost you about 15 bucks each way for a taxi. If you want a great local lunch try "Latin roots" which is located on the street just behind the Sheraton. They have GREAT local food....their roasted pig is amazing as are their drinks at the bar
