Will we need a coat?

We are on the western med stopping in Italy, Spain and France the first week of March. Will we need a heavy coat at night?

The weather can vary greatly at this time of year from sunny / warm to cold / snow.

 

The answer is not a heavy coat but a coat / cardigan, in the form of layers that you can put on or peel off as required.

it won't be particularly warm but a fleecy jacket will probably be okay

We were in Barcelona in April a few years ago and it rained very heavily during our half day there. We had taken lightweight roll up waterproof jackets so were OK. Many cruisers wery very wet on return to ship! ( We always take these jackets no matter what time of year it is)

I am on that itinery at the moment and so far have not needed a coat it has been lovely weather,I am working on quite a nice tan :), however according to the weather forecast it will be a little cooler when we get to italy so will probably take a cardigan ashore.

Bring warm clothing. You may not need it but if you do and you don't have it you're out of luck!
