Parking in Ft. Lauderdale

We are driving from South Carolina for a Carnival Cruise out of FLL in Jan 2011. Are there any discounted parking lots or good deals if you stay at a hotel the night before? We had planned to leave the day before, stop in St. Augustine/Daytona area then arrive in the morning around noon or so but if we can get a deal with hotel parking and transportation to the port we would leave early am and drive all the way to Ft. Lauderdale.

We always stay at the LaQuinta on 26th street the night before. They keep the car for free, and free shuttle to the pier in the morning. Transportation back to the hotel can be arranged the evening before for $25 (a little less than a cab). Done this many times, hotel is great, car has always been perfectly safe.
