Tender port?

I was just wondering if Roatan was a tender port or a docking port? How long does it usually take to disembark? Thanks.

The ships dock in Roatan, although some of the bigger ones have a hard time doing so if there is any wind.

The Carnival Legend docked there last August. A crew member gave us a head's up the night before to watch the process. There is not much room to work with, and it is fascinating to see.

If you are going into Mahagony Bay the ships back into the dock- if it is windy or projected to be windy they sometimes won't make it.

 

There is space at the dock at Coxen Hole for one ship and the possibility for others to anchor.

 

We had to anchor last week as it was too windy to get into Mahagony Bay and the Celebrity Eclipse was already docked at Coxen.

 

The tender process was not long getting off or back on in my opinion
