cruise'n Posted March 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Is it more difficult to get 2 rooms (for 2 couples) in one bid or should each couple bid separate? It would be nice to know that both couples traveling together are in the same hotel. Any advice would be appreciated.
jdfloyd Posted March 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Two years ago in May, I bid on three rooms with no problems. If you do bid separately you may end up in two different hotels!
chipster Posted March 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2005 You can bid 4 rooms at the same time.
medolee Posted March 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2005 I December I bid on 2 rooms 3*+ in Orlando and got the rooms 50$ each room per night at one of the Raddisson's and it was a very nice, clean, well kept place. Now that was 50 per room TOTAL. No extra taxes ect. We did get side by side rooms, but if you want a connecting door you need to request that. Globaliser Posted March 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2005 It would be nice to know that both couples traveling together are in the same hotel. If this is important, then you must, must, must bid for 2 rooms at the same time.
nynewfies Posted March 9, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2005 For all kinds of information and great advice with this sort of thing, go to a site called betterbidding. They really helped me with navigating the whole priceline/hotwire experience earlier this year. There is another site called biddingfortravel, but I found that site pretty intimidating and not nearly as helpful. Good luck.
cruise'n Posted March 9, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Thanks, everyone for the great advice! We are going to bid the 2 rooms at the same time. :)
Moonhead15 Posted March 9, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2005 No problem getting the 3 rooms we needed in Dec. (one bid) for P.R. We did very well price wise and got The Radisson which was fine for the night and included a free drink per person. Have a good time.
msbmom Posted March 10, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 10, 2005 We just did this last month for May. It will ask you the name of a person for room #1 and room #2. Also, they charged the total amount for both rooms to my credit card immediately, so whoever books through priceline will be the one charged. Our friends just wrote us a check for their portion.
