hi i live in the highlands of scotland in a little town where cruise liners berth all summer. when i go to see the liners leave they always have their certain song playing. i have now booked a cruise on 8th october on Adventure of the Seas, can anyone tell me what song it plays when the ship sails out of port?

Well, I think that really depends on the cruise line and the ship, but I have heard "Hot, Hot, Hot" by Buster Poindexter more often than not. At least that's one of the songs playing. The steel drum bands continually play as well.

 

Now, if it's Princess, perhaps they play the theme song to "The Love Boat". :D

I don't know what they play, but I personally like Enya's "Orinoco Flow" (sail away, sail away, sail away.................).

 

How about the old rock 'n roll song "Let Me Take You On A Sea Cruise" (woowhee, woowhee baby, woowhee..............).

im not sailing from scotland in sailing from malaga then down to the canarios. there is one ship i remember that came in frequently and it always played "what a wornderful world"

On most if not all ships I've been on they have played "Cupid Shuffle" during sail away. It's a fun song and has a fun dance to it
