Carnival Dream Question

My family and I were looking to book the New Years cruise on the Carnival Dream from Port Canaveral this December, and I was wondering has anybody been on the Dream before, and any comments on it? It looks nice online, and we found a super good deal for it too.

I was on the Dream last year & will be sailing her a second time this June. What would you like to know specifically? Personally, I love this ship. She's the biggest right now in the fleet. She has many amenities such as a water park, mini golf, 2 pools, adult only deck, MANY dining options, a Steakhouse, casino, trivia, live bands, and so much more!!! The cabins overall are typically larger than other cruise lines. You will have a great time, there is something on board for everyone at any age! :)

It's a great ship, one of the best things I thought is that it handles the huge amount of people very well. Seems to me there is much more space to handle crowds than other ships, aside from the Ocean Plaza area that seemed a little congested. Other than that it is a beautiful ship to sail on. I have no complaints!

I was just wondering what the food is like, and if it's 100% worth it to go on it, this would be our 2nd cruise as a family. And it's reassuring hearing it's so good! :D

The food is amazing!! So many options. You have the buffet, main dining room, deli, room service, pasta bar, Mongolian wok, burrito bar, tandoori bar, meat carving stations, and the Steakhouse. Plus a BBQ on the the Lanai on sea days. All of the food is delicious!! You will not go hungry, that's for sure.

I wouldn't be sailing her a second time if I didn't have such an excellent time. I'm also a big foodie & Carnival has some of the best food out of all the major cruise lines.

Have you tried the reviews here on Cruise Critic?? Lots of good information there too ;)

Yeah, I am addicted to them! :)

I just wasn't sure how good the Dream would be compared to other options like Allure/Oasis, but now I am thinking this ship is a go! :)

And I didn't think about getting a balcony option, Snow, but now that I think about it, the price is still a steal!
