Parking at Port of Miami

Does anyone know of any good alternatives other than parking at the port? It is $20 per day.

Many of the off airport parking places also support the port - disadvantage is they are a wee bit away so shuttle time can be an issue

 

if you google parking port of miami you'll also find 'premier parking ventures'

 

these guys don't operate any parking facilities but run parking services - renting space as needed. Point being: what is said here applied when I used them but could be different next time if they rent a different facility.... but the price was good and they were minutes from the port.

I lived right near the Port (About 2 blocks) during college and am aware that it is a very Bad area.. So we may just pay the price and park at the port.

Some choose a hotel stay and park deal - problem is that all of the hotels offering these will be out near MIA, so you're looking at $50-60 in round trip cab fees if a shuttle is not provided. It may be easier to bite the bullet and pay to park at POM.
