carehire Port Canaveral

Recommended Posts

We're going on vaction whit the Freedom of the seas, does anybody now a carhire company that has a shuttle to the terminal. And a hotel whit a shuttle to terminal?
There are at least five major car rental agencies in Cape Canaveral [Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty]. I have dropped rental cars at several of these locations and used the shuttle to a ship [and done the reverse getting off the ship], and I think all of these companies provide this service. Note that almost all major Florida rental car companies have no drop charge moving a car anywhere within Florida [not true most other places in the US]. So you can rent in Miami or Orlando or elsewhere in Florida and go to/from Cape Canaveral paying no drop fee. We do this often to the ports at Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale from our winter home in the Tampa area. Two rental cars are as cheap or cheaper than a week of parking, and much cheaper than two weeks parking.

If you try http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1391482&highlight=canaveral+hotel you can find info on hotels. There are definitely hotels which provide shuttles to the ships [much of this business involves people parking their personal car there for no additional cost while cruising - a good deal if you own a car, but not so cost effective with rental cars.
