maun Posted March 15, 2005 #27 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Thanks for sharing the pics. What is the name of the resort in Sosua? Is language much of a barrier?

Ella2 Posted March 15, 2005 #29 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Interesting question, I love both places and have been to both many times. :) The Caribbean seems to have the calmer, turquoise blue clear water that so many people love. Hawaii has those awesome waves, ocean breezes and the smell of orchids everywhere...just a more tropical feeling. I get a totally different vacation "feel" in both places. For me, Hawaii edges out the Caribbean as a LAND destination. I love relaxing in Maui and just enjoying such an amazing place. But for a cruise, I prefer the Caribbean (I know that goes against the whole NCL Hawaii cruising thing). ;) Bottom line, you won't go wrong whatever you decide...they are both wonderful destinations.
