Transport From Orlando to Tampa??

We will be on the Legend (out of Tampa) mid July. When we debark the ship, we will need to find transportation to Orlando from Tampa to catch our Amtrak train home. Does anyone know of a shuttle to Orlando from Tampa? Or any other transport besides renting a car?

I really do not know of a shuttle that does this route but you might contact SuperShuttle and they could give you some advice. SuperShuttle is a very well known shuttle service in Fla. We have used them before. http://www.supershuttle.com/

 

Also, if you do change your mind and decide to do the rental car, there is a Hertz rental location at the Mariott Waterside Hotel just 2 blocks from the pier. That would be super convenient. http://local.yahoo.com/info-14434342-hertz-rent-a-car-tampa

Im confused, I thought you said it was in Orlando, not in Tampa. Orlando is in the middle of the state... Tampa on the coast. Most people fly into Tampa airport, which is why there are not a lot of shuttles for cruisers.

 

I would check greyhounds site and amtraks, surely they will say if there is a terminal in Tampa itself or on the westcoast? I know there is one on the east coast.

 

Greyhound for sure surely would have one closer than Orlando.

I did check in to this originally, but the Silver Star departs at 5:17 in the afternoon from Tampa and we have to catch our train out of Orlando by 1:30 that day. The Amtrak website does show a bus option as well, and that is what I am checking in to now. I think it goes through Greyhound (I just worry about how accurate the times are with bus travel??).

check the Florida Express Bus I know Miami to Orlando is $25.00 Tampa is about $15.00 each way.
