ennegram Posted April 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2011 There are only two of us but we have been assigned a Silhouette balcony cabin with both sofa bed & upper birth. Will the cabin have less space or seem more crowded because of this?
rebeccalouiseagain Posted April 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2011 You won't have a noticable loss of space. The bed should fit snuggly up against the wall about the width of a mattress. I wouldn't worry.
ennegram Posted April 28, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Thank you Rebeccalouiseagain! Still don't know why this cabin wasn't saved for a family. But then maybe there aren't too many groups of four wanting to occupy one cabin. Ennegram
Infi Posted April 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2011 We had a cabin with an upper bunk and a sofa bed on Eclipse. The upper bunk bed came out of the ceiling (not the wall) and I actually didn't even notice it until several days into the cruise, when my daughter pointed it out. The sofa trundle bed is equally inconspicuous.
firemanbobswife Posted April 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 28, 2011 The cabin will be identical to a 2 person room. The 3rd bed is the top of the sofa itself with the addition of blankets and an eggcrate. Same exact one that's in 2 person rooms. The upper berth is flush with the ceiling above the sofa and you can't even tell it's there when not pulled down except that you will see the tiles are "cut out" in the shape of a rectangle. So to sum it up, there is absolutely NO difference in size in the room or space.
ennegram Posted April 28, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted April 28, 2011 I now rest assured! Ennegram
