stevelinn Posted June 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2011 We are on this ship this coming Sunday, June 12th, 2011. We are on the Panorama deck in an extended balcony room/ We like to watch DVDs we bring along. I would bring my player and some movies if I knew for sure whether there was inputs for it on the cabin TV. Carnival customer service says NO, they don't have that capability. But I am skeptical. Does anyone know for sure who has been on this or another "Spirit" class ship recently? Thanks for your prompt response!

hancogran Posted June 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2011 We were on Pride a few weeks ago and didn't notice any TV inputs for DVD players.
thompsongunner06 Posted June 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2011 I think all TV's have inputs(on back or front),,,you would need long cables as the TV's are on the wall. We dont watch much TV on our trips ;)
serene56 Posted June 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2011 no inputs. they do show movies on a 24 hour thread. THree movies per day on different channels. Movies to rent cost 8.
tef43 Posted June 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Even if there were inputs, the problem becomes changing the input source on the tv. The remote does not have a "source" button.
Mad Capn Bob Posted June 10, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2011 I have a handy dandy portable dvd player, with a battery life of 8 hours (in theory). Since I travel by tour bus, this device of very handy...I can just slip it in me backpack. I took it on me cruise last year...no need to hook it up to anything... And what did I take for viewing? Some Mythbusters, some Whose Line, some Time Team...
SteelerCruiser Posted June 10, 2011 #8 Share Posted June 10, 2011 I have seen input jacks on the backs of TV's before. The trick is getting it to the input channel. I think you may be able to flip to it by scrolling to the channel.
