Dress question for Recent NCL Pearl to Alaska

Our first cruise is in 2 weeks. We don't mind dressing up since this is our 1st and there is a special occasion to celebrate. On "dress up or not night" in the Main Dining room, what percentage of women in dresses, men in suits did you observe? Any tuxedos?

You will get a wide range of answers, as the person that asked two days ago found.

If you do not want to dress up, you will be fine. The number is easily under 50% and I would say more like 20%. As said, others may give a different number.

Only took a coat and tie on our first NCL cruise. None since.

If you want to dress up, you will have plenty of company - if you don't dress up you will have plenty of company. Because I hate to take a lot of dress clothes, I am always "in between" the two groups, black slacks and a couple of nice tops. However, shorts are not allowed in usually one of the main dining rooms, but since they serve the same menu, you won't be cheated. It really is freestyle - you can do what you want.
