Daisy21015 Posted June 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2011 This will be on the Allure July 31st - it will be our first cruise. I had a question about dress in the MDR and/or specialty restaurants on non formal nights - Do men need to wear slacks/khakis or are dress shorts and a polo acceptable? Should my teenage daughters wear a casual sundress or capri's during these dinners? I would think shorts and a top would be too casual? Do you usually pack 2 outifts/day - changing each night before dinner? Thank you!
libertybelle41 Posted June 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Pretty much anything but shorts will work. Slacks or Khakis for hubby and sundress for girls sound great and very acceptable. I'm the wrong person to ask about packing outfits. I pack waaaay too much:eek: Have a great time on your cruise. We are on Allure on Aug 7th so don't wear out the staff before I get there ;)
jamscckmc Posted June 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Men will wear shorts even though it's posted daily in the cruise compass. It says no shorts, bare feet tank tops or caps on casual night. They unfortunatly don't enforce the shorts or caps. The specialty restaurants (other than Ritas) do enforce the no shorts rule. They also said no flip flops for men. The majority of men wore docker type pants with a polo or Hawaiian shirt. Women capris and sundresses.
plazamom Posted June 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2011 Yes- I always pack 2 outfits/day for each person. One for day and one for evening.
