CBS Agents - Please Help

CanadianConection33, you have gone to a lot of trouble to express CBSA position very clearly and succinctly thank you for your informed post. I am very inclined to agree, it really does come down to discretion....some officers exercise a great deal of it and others not so much.

Curisers from Ohio, no doubt what happened at the border happened and it will happen again .... it's a risk you take if you have a fairly current conviction and the same applies to a Canadian trying to enter the US under similar circumstances. You are correct the application can take time and it does cost money. As for visas that really is the responsibility of a non-US citizen to be aware of this and I think that is what you are implying in your post.
