flasaltwater Posted June 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2011 How low do I need to let the price of my cabin drop before I call and ask for an upgrade. Or am I misunderstanding how this works? TIA
firefly333 Posted June 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2011 If you see a category above yours, that the current price matches what you paid, then you can contact your booking agent and request to be upgraded. If you are booked ES, then you are supposed to do the ES price drop form instead. Other rates call your booking agent. it all depends on the price of the category you want .. if it has dropped enough that its as much or lower than what you paid. .. you can also request to pay the difference if you want to upgrade. bingo3 Posted June 29, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2011 I'd suggest asking for it as soon as you see the drop. It could go back up again and you'd lose out.
antarctic penguin Posted June 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2011 I spoke to a Carnival rep who said you can apply as often as you want until 2 days before sailing. On the Carnival website in the Search box, type Price Protection Form. You complete and submit it online and will then get a reply advising if you qualify for the lower fare.
