Epic mojitos, spa and casino questions!

In less than two weeks I will be taking one of our teens on the Epic out of Barcelona.

First question: We're booked in a spa mini-suite. I understand she is not able to go into the thermal suite area as a 17 yr. old. Is that where all the good stuff is? Trying to figure out which areas we can go to together. Also, are they pretty strict on that rule?

Second question: If we should happen to be visited by the upsell fairy, the only category I can find that is still available is 'spa suite'. Is there an additional area for sleeping or just the one circular bed? We really don't want to have to sleep together... Also, does the concierge lounge serve evening cocktails or anything? I don't really know what the suite benefits are on NCL, just on RCCL. Everyone says NCL's suite life is the best life at sea however we probably will not get the call...

Third question: Is room service pretty timely if you place your order the night before? We're thinking of using it almost like a backup alarm clock on port days so we can save time and still get caffeine.

Another question: Our kids always enjoyed meeting friends on their own instead of doing organized activities with the kids clubs, especially once they became teenagers. Since my daughter won't have her siblings along I'm wondering about organized activites. Have you found your kids enjoyed NCL's teen activities, especially on the Epic? Ours didn't enjoy RCCL's very much but they also didn't give it too many visits so it isn't the ship's fault. Also wondering if a European cruise will draw teens together more than a Caribbean one...

Last question, will the bartenders in the casino make mojitos, either on the rocks or frozen?

And final question, does anyone know if Epic's casino has Sex and the City, Escape from Planet Moolah or Davinci Diamond slot machines? Just looking for a few old friends :-) And also, how many roulette tables are there on the Epic? And is there a high limit room?

Thanks so much for all the tips you guys share. You don't know how much you've helped us in our planning!!!

Excited about free-styling it!!!

This is one of the few I can answer, as I stayed in a spa suite. There is ONLY the one bed, nowhere else to sleep. No couch, NOTHING! You can fit two loungers on the balcony but that's it, and there isn't even room in the room for a lounger. The bed takes up much of the floor space.

The private bar is the Epic Club bar, and they serve evening cocktails, but they are NOT free, they are the same price as all the other bars. When DH and I sailed they had two for one every night from I think 5 to 6 but I could be a little off on the times. There was a captain's cocktail party one evening that was free drinks, and there was a sailaway party at Posh with free champagne, but that's all the free drinks. Now the Epic Club as a whole, especially the food and service, is really, really special. There are lots of threads about NCL suites, they will describe all the benefits.

I had ordered one in the MDR no problem-it was on the rocks. I would think you can get one in the casino but can't tell you for sure.
