QM2: New York Harbor Sail-away Video

From today in beautiful weather, including QM2 passing the Lower Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty and under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.

 

 

Recorded from the new streaming NY Harbor Webcam. We plan to follow all QM2 sailings live with the ship on cam for over 30 minutes.

WOW I loved that

 

Getting to see her sail passed the Statue of Liberty - beautiful.

 

I was starting to get worried that the QM2 wasn't going to squeeze under the VN bridge LOL

 

Loved how the webcam operator zoomed in to show exactly how much room the smoke stack had.

Phenomenal photography - - like being on the stern and holding your breath while watching her sail under the bridge.

The scenes from about 2:09 are beautiful too - the lower Manhattan skyline frames her nicely. But what must it be like to be driving over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge as the QM2 comes bearing down? LOL!
