SpringBreakMom Posted August 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I think we will be using Auto Progreso to tour Uxmal. Is this really something we need to reserve and pay for ahead of time? I would really rather not go through their online payment system. Will they reserve without payment? Can you negotiate fee if you find them in port after the ship docks? Thanks! DebJ14 Posted August 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2011 You do not have to prepay. Send them an E-mail and ask what time the tour will be leaving the staging area so that you plan your shuttle ride in from the pier accordingly. We have found they will not negotiate price. Auto Progreso runs the shuttle service and they will have a rep on the bus and as soon as you step off you can buy the tickets and they direct you to the line for your tour. They are wearing peach colored shirts.

hlb76 Posted August 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Are the prices once in Progresso the same as you can find online? We can't all decide what we want to do so we might just go and wing it.
hdawson Posted August 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I have never heard of AP nogotiating prices. They are a large, successful and reliable company.
Rare nydney1 Posted August 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2011 They are rock solid. We used them last Jan. We planned on doing the Chichen-itza tour but missed the bus. The departure time is from town not the pier. They put us on the Uxmal trip and we loved it. We liked it so muh we are going to do it again. All you do is email them when and how many and you pay before you board.
