Need advice on getting stock OBC

Ours is now showing up...I had sent in by FAX before this thread was started (next time I will scan and email). It took almost a week, but it is there now. I submitted booking numbers for three cruises...one is all of the way out to March 2012 and all have the $100 shareholder credits posted :p This is the first time we are using this and really appreciate all of the tips here. We did not buy at the bottom, darn, but with the price that I just checked now ($31.70) and $300 posted for our upcoming cruises we are about even. We are in this for the long haul and are planning lots of future cruises, so no regrets! Thanks everyone for sharing information on this.

Just curious, the stock benefit statement indicates the offer will expire July 2012. Does the company update this statement yearly? From what I have read many crusiers have had this benefit for quite a while and hope to continue receiving it for many future cruises.

I don't have any of this stock, but since I have become addicted to cruising, am thinking I just might invest a little whether or not OBC is given. :)

Yes, this benefit has to be approved every year.

Thanks a lot, golfpccc.

For the link that tells you what to send, that is.

I noticed that the OBC "cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account."

We're usually not big spenders onboard and book our own excursions with other CC's so our FCC usually goes toward gratuities. Can I buy Funship dollars with this non-refundable OBC?

Besides drinks, coffee bar, and onboard stores, how can I use it?

We've never had a problem spending it anyway we want--including gratuities, casino, etc.

Just so I get this right; I have 100 shares of CCL stock, which allows me $100 OBC. Now if my husband has 100 shares will he receive $100 OBC? Or, is it only one OBC per stateroom? Thanks for any or all help.

I don't have a scanner and don't want to send it as an attachment because there is other private information on the page that we always black out before faxing....So how does everyone else email this in? Thanks for all the replies!

I have a printer that also scans and copies. I usually scan my proof of shares with with it folded in such a way so only what I is in the douc. (sometimes I will use another sheet to cover some info if I can't fold out some info.) Then I email mail them and attach what I have scanned in.

I find this the quickest way, much easier and cheaper than any other way.

When I look at 'my billing' online, nothing is there except my $75 FCC that was applied to the total price. That's to be expected since it was credited as a payment.

To see the OBC, must go to "view cruise documents" so you have to be paid-in-full. Page two of the General Information is the invoice. Below the price for the cabin, there is:

Onboard Credit $50

Promotional Onboard Credit $75 Nonrefundable

So they even state now what is refundable and what isn't (not that I'm ever going to get a refund!!).

I'm glad you posted this. I sent in proof of ownership last week and asked them to credit my 10/11 cruise. I also got the two emails and was expecting it to show under "My Billing" like my FCC's on my 4/12 and 413 cruises. Nothing! That's because I didn't have a FCC for the 10/11 cruise. I just went to "view cruise documents" and there it was. Duh!
