we were on the Dream 1/2011 and are now going on Liberty 11/12/11.. had been on Freedom so we have an idea of the ship but wanted to see if they have added so "DREAM" like features.

Does the Liberty have a Punch Liner every night like the Dream? Dream had 2 comedians i think every night doing adult material.. best entertainment on any ship i have been on. does Liberty have similar schedule assuming they have Punch Liner?

also on the Dream the late night "snack" included the outside grill w/ hamburgers/fries... when we were on Freedom in '09.. i didn't see the grill open late night.. needless to say hamburger/fires taste mighty good at midnight... LOL

pizza was really good on Dream... how does Liberty compare? i know Freedom's wasn't very good..

they have the fish&chips? didnt like it on Freedom.. hope they might do away w/ that and bring the pasta station like on Dream when she goes to dry dock in Oct.

does the casino have the electronic holdem table?

thought i heard they made all Piano Bars smoke free.. is this true Liberty? on the Dream you couldn't even walk by the piano bar w/o the smell just slapping you in the face. nothing against smokers.. but if they claim to have this special ventilation system it better work and it didn't on Dream.

best night to do the steak house and skipping the main dining room menu?

thanks

stan

I can't answer all your questions, especially since I haven't been on Liberty, but I can answer some. The comedians will work basically the same. Maybe not exactly like the Dream, and I don't think it'll be every night, but similar.

There won't be a pasta bar on Liberty. That will remain the fish & chips.

To me, pizza has been similar on all ships I've been on, but if the slice has been sitting around awhile, it won't be as good. They make good calzones, if you can give them 10 minutes to make it.

Piano bar should be smoke free now, from what I've heard. Hallellujah!!!

Many people say to do the steakhouse on the 1st night, for a free bottle of wine or something like that. ?? Other than that, it's all up to you and your taste. Try to find MDR menus posted from past Liberty cruisers. If one night doesn't have anything that is particularly appealing, go with that night for the steakhouse. Keep in mind that the first elegant night is when the MDR serves the lobster.

Liberty had 2 comics when we got on. After a few days they got off and 2 more comics got on, along with a comedy juggler. The juggler had his own show in the theatre, and he was very funny. Kind of like a one man "Sharkbait" if you've seen that act.

The 4 stand ups worked one of the big lounges. I think there were shows there 5(?) out of the 7 nights. Each of those evenings 1 or both would give a family friendly show, then later each would do adult material. One worked for a few minutes in the theatre for the first night show.

I thought the Pizza was better then the Imagination. But when it's all said and done it doesn't compare to a pizzeria. But I had no complaints.

Don't play poker. I *think* I saw an electronic hold em table, but I wasn't paying real close attention.

Piano bar was smoke free.

Nice ship, you'll have a good time.

You will be sailing after it goes into Dry Dock and since no one knows what they are adding or taking away they might put another Restaurant on board etc...so as it gets closer maybe Carnival will let us all know what they will be doing to her in Dry Dock in October...:)
