Excursion payment

You pay for it when you book online... The option is to wait and book upon embarkation but you risk the excursion selling out prior...

Mach is right and this 'pay in full when booked online' policy is one I do not care for, if anyone cares. I can understand collecting a fair deposit at the point you make the reservation to try and ensure people have some skin in the game and are committed to the excursion but requiring full payment of the excursion fee many months in advance is a bit much, IMO. Perhaps there's a reasonable explanation for why it's done this way but I cannot think of one. :confused:

Its done to put more pre cruise money in Carnival's coffers. As a stockholder, I can appreciate that.

That's understood (the 'putting more pre-cruise money in Carnival's coffers' part) but that's not a reasonable explanation from my standpoint, the customer. ;)
