Need Help from you HAL experts

We have not cruised with HAL before and are looking at the Jan 16. Zuiderdam cruise. We will be booking a verandah and would like to have one where the balcony (errr...verandah) is covered. For those of you familiar with princess, the the emerald deck mini-suite type is what we are looking for. Does Zuiderdam offer this type? Any favorite stateroom numbers?

Thanks in advance for your help!

All verandahs on the Zuiderdam are totally covered except a few on the stern where they are partially uncovered due to decks getting smaller as the go up.

If you are looking at the "V" category verandahs, consider booking a VD on Deck 4. They are covered and their balcony is 1.5 foot deeper than all other "V" class cabins. A lot of people view these as a better value than other higher priced "V" cabins.

The last (outside) 1.5' on the VD's is uncovered but it is still a larger space than the VE etc.

FYI...we were in cabin 5116/VE and this deck mid-ship looks down directly onto the life boats.
But they hang well below the deck 5 floor, and don't interfere with your view while seated. The tender-lifeboat below 5116 is a bit taller than these, but still ...

(Ignore the yellow square - that was to answer a question about a deck 4 cabin.)

Edit:

I don't have a good-enough side shot of a Vista, so here is how the tender-lifeboats are on the Nieuw Amsterdam:
