hn7609 Posted August 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2011 Looking to do something a little different this year at Christmas so with some time off we are thinking about a cruise over Christmas. Just trying to get an idea of what we might expect on board. For those who have been over the holidays do they do anything different?? decorations?? different activities?? or just the straight by the book Bahamas cruise. We usually cruise Hurricane season so the weather won't really matter to us. I just like being on the ship. Just wondering what it's like to wake up Christmas morning on the ship. tiggerman101 Posted August 31, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2011 I did a family cruise directly over Christmas a couple years ago (Fascination). This year we are doing a family cruise the week before. We were in Key West Christmas Eve and Nassau on Christmas Day. It does feel a little odd, but very enjoyable. They had a special show on Christmas morning with the Camp Carnival kids. Plus they had all of the staff up on stage, etc. It was nice. There was a special dinner menu as well. They offered champagne upon embarkation, everything was decorated and they had piped in holiday music everywhere. They also did a special Christmas Midnight Buffet that was nice. We enjoyed it, but the atmosphere is different. It is mainly families so don't expect a party crowd. The nightlife was pretty much dead on the ship.
