Travel scoot seat uncomfortable ?

I started our recent trip with a gel cushion from Walmart, which I threw away after two days. It was a real pain to keep in place, particularly when taking the scooter up and down stairs.

 

I'm planning on a reupholstery job before my next trip!

Can anyone who has had this done tell me if the extra foam went under the existing seat or on top of it? I would assume under to keep the contour of the seat the same.

I used my travel scoot with the new seat for two weeks on a recent cruise and it was so much more comfortable than before I had it redone. Even took some of the bumps out of uneven roads off the ship...some, not all.

What do you mean, what to do with it? When? On board, at excursions, in ports?

Mama, If I rent a scooter for use on my cruise I'm wondering if they'll have a problem with me modifying the seat.

My strongest guess would be you can not alter the seat of a rental scooter. But, that's just my opinion and you should ask the rental company.
