innlady1 Posted October 13, 2011 #26 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I will check out that for sure when we arrive back on the mainland, Carol!
el344 Posted October 13, 2011 #27 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I started our recent trip with a gel cushion from Walmart, which I threw away after two days. It was a real pain to keep in place, particularly when taking the scooter up and down stairs. I'm planning on a reupholstery job before my next trip! innlady1 Posted December 13, 2011 #30 Share Posted December 13, 2011 Can anyone who has had this done tell me if the extra foam went under the existing seat or on top of it? I would assume under to keep the contour of the seat the same. Thanks!
mamaofami Posted February 9, 2012 Author #31 Share Posted February 9, 2012 I used my travel scoot with the new seat for two weeks on a recent cruise and it was so much more comfortable than before I had it redone. Even took some of the bumps out of uneven roads off the ship...some, not all.
Bobed1927 Posted February 15, 2012 #32 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Any suggestion about what to do with a rental scooter?
mamaofami Posted February 16, 2012 Author #33 Share Posted February 16, 2012 What do you mean, what to do with it? When? On board, at excursions, in ports?
Bobed1927 Posted February 17, 2012 #34 Share Posted February 17, 2012 Mama, If I rent a scooter for use on my cruise I'm wondering if they'll have a problem with me modifying the seat.
mamaofami Posted February 17, 2012 Author #35 Share Posted February 17, 2012 My strongest guess would be you can not alter the seat of a rental scooter. But, that's just my opinion and you should ask the rental company.
