Question on balcony rooms on NOS

I have a Superior Oceanview Balcony booked on 12/4 sailing and noticed there was also a Deluxe Oceanview Balcony which is smaller. The Superior was about $200 less and trying to figure out why? Is it just supply and demand and they have less of the Deluxe?

Not sure if I'm tracking with the question but...

 

Superior Ocean View (D1/D2 category) is 15sq. ft. bigger in the cabin and 15sq. ft. bigger balcony than Deluxe Ocean View (E1/E2). If cabins are about 10 feet wide then this means it is 18 inches longer. Not sure if that really makes it any more roomy. Ditto with balcony - 18 inches more from door to railing. Other primary difference is the D cabins tend to be either mid-ship to aft or nearer forward elevator. Location convenience. Also tend to be more on higher decks. But there are quite a few more E category so it is a supply & demand thing but not sure why the $200 difference for what is usually a better category. Mostly not worth the difference except for a few on the hump and several aft over the stern with larger balconies so perhaps not booking well.

For our Mariner cruise coming up in October, the E2 's never came down in price, but the D's came down in August and were $500 less per person the the E2's. Crazy!!!! Those booking late really got a deal!
