Is there a train pass that covers all travel in one day?

Hello,

Is there a universal ticket to buy that gets me on the rail system throughout the day (like in Venice) or do I need to pay at each stop? I am looking to go from Civ to Rome and then spend the day in Rome so just wondering if there is a 'universal' pass or if I get off at Termini and then pay to get to others?

Currently, I'm looking to buy the pass from port to Rome and it shows 9,50 for 2nd class. Any big difference between first and second?

Thanks!

Weird, it won't let me edit it...I want to change the topic to say 'In Rome'. Why I go to my stats it doesn't even show this post under my name.

Edit won't let you modify the title. It'll eventually show up in your stats.

CathyCruises is referring to the BIRG ticket. The €9,00 ticket will cover you for the day to and from Rome as well as transportation within the central city.
