Martyjac Posted September 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2011 Might anyone have a suggestion on handling the currency exchange? Might it be better or cheaper to get the currency in USA for Hong Kong or other countries? And from past cruises might HA handle this on board ship? Any help appreciated. pam vessels Posted September 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2011 We did this trip a couple of years ago and were able to exchange money on the ship either the day before a given port or even on the port day. It was a great trip. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Much easy and than you convert any remaing HK$ back to US$ when you return to the ship. So much easiers and the difference in fees is insignificant. You will be able to exchange currency on board the ship. Keep in mind the exchange rate on board the ship is terrible. On Asian and European cruises I have found that it is best to use an ATM at the different ports.
