Hotel walking distance to Pan American Pier

Are ther any nice hotels within walking distance of the Pan American Pier where Princess ships dock?

They recently completed a hotel near there, and I think it's the Sheraton Convention Center (I'm sure Convention Center is part of the name). I don't know if there's direct walking access to the dock, though.

I doubt there will ever be one "walking" distance thats a pretty good drive down that acess road to get to the ships. I wouldn't want to drag luggage all that way.

sadly No,

 

it is a narrow rough piece of road, very little footpath,

without luggage you can walk from & to the pier

if you want to catch a bus into Old San Juan it will take about 10 mins walk to bus stop from the Princess berth

Caribe Hilton is nearby to Pan American Pier.

The Sheraton Convention Center is the hotel near the Pan Am pier, but like everyone has pointed out, you can't walk to the pier. But, if you stay at the hotel, you can catch the bus to downtown from right out front, saving you taxi fare if you want to explore downtown.

 

The fare from the hotel to the pier on their website says $7.

But, keep in mind that the same public bus makes a loop past several other hotels in San Juan, so I would look for the best rate rather than closest to the pier. And since most of the hotels fall into the same zone for taxi fares, it will be the same price to get to the pier. And, there are no stores near this hotel, so if you needed to pick up any last minute items, you would have to take another taxi.
