Freedom of the Seas question

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am new here but a seasoned Princess cruiser. I am considering a cruise on the FOS nest October and was wondering how spacious the balconies are with suites. I usually have a suite on the back end of the ship on Princess but do see that option on the Freedom. Any feedback will be appreciated.

There are Junior Suites on the Freedom aft, in fact I am sailing in one of them on October 23rd :)

Thanks, small cabin is NOT what we are looking for. We rarely leave the ship anymore (seen most of the ports) and we love spending our days out on the balcony and doing the shows and casino at night. The suites on the back end of the Oasis is too big and too sterile looking (for my liking) as I am not a big fan of the contemporary clean lines style. Thanks a bunch for the information :)

If space is what you are looking for try a grand suite. The bathroom has double sinks, full tub and shower (and lots of marble) The cabin has marble floor by the bar and double closet, a couch and 2 chairs (2 end tables and a coffee table) a curtain separates the bedroom from the sitting room. It also has a sliding balcony door by the sitting area and a non opening double "door" by the bed. Flat screen TV on the wall with a DVD player and BOSE surround sound. Very nice room.

We've stayed in the Junior suite (cabin 1364) on deck 10 which has a fair amount room (approx 300sf) and is very convenient to the buffet, specialty restaurants and pool deck ( 1 deck up). 1364 is also quiet, being under Portofino restaurant and not the pool deck. The balconies are approx. 4-5 ft wide and 16 ft long There are some aft balcony JS available on deck 10, as well, which would have a much deeper balcony (8-10 ft). Or you may want to consider the Grand Suites or Owners suites. Then there are the huge Royal Family suites. You can check them all out on Royal Caribbean dot com. Also Cruiselinerooms dot com has photos of many of the cabins, including 1364 , and some of the Grand and Owners suites. Freedom is a beautiful ship, with plenty to do if you decide to stay onboard during a port call. We really enjoy strolling the Royal Promenade, stopping in for a snack and glass of wine at Vintages or a Boddington's at the Bull and Bear Pub. Freedom is one of our favorite ships and I think you will enjoy her too.
