calex1976 Posted October 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Does anyone know how to add food allergies to the cruise manager? My GF is allergic to peppers and we are afraid that the dishes will contain these. Her main problem is with jalapeno peppers. I added other to medical section of her profile, but did not see a place to add specific problem. It is not life threatening, but more of a nuisance(causes swelling and blisters). If there is no way to keep from being served peppers she can pick around them, but it would be nice to not worry about them. Thanks for any info. firefly333 Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Most meals are so bland, I cant even think of anything that is spicy. The spicy fried chicken isnt spicy or the jerked chicken. I would say her chances of running into a jalepeno are slim unless she eats Mexican, and even that is bland.

Contact special services department - apparently they are really great. In your daughters case it will probably a really easy fix. As previous poster said though - stay away from the Mexican food, I too found it not to be in the least bit spicy - but you never know.
calex1976 Posted October 26, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Thanks for the quick replies. We will avoid the Mexican food, it upsets my heartburn anyway. I will call customer service tomorrow.

I will call customer service tomorrow. Since you have already marked the accounts medical advisories section when she boards she will most likely be told to go to guest services~ that happened with my DH who is GF, I guess he told them he was GF and they sent the hostess over after the first dinner. The first night you're pretty much on your own~ like I said the hostess will come over with the following nights menu and you will place your order for the next night right then. easy peasy~ DH loved having his own food mistress as we called her~ :D We were told that we did not need to contact special needs prior as everything is done onboard. golfadj Posted October 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2011 DW has many food allergies. First night we tell the head waiter and he will send over the social host with the following nights dinner menus. They will discuss what she can have and order special for her. For lunch you can ask people on lido for ingredients and certainly stay away from anything mexican.

Thanks for the info, looks like we should be set then. Most times we know what she can and can not eat, but a while back she bit into a some corn bread and her mouth started burning. It had Mexican peppers in it. She ended up with blisters just from one bite.
