Eternity(Ingrid) calling!

Back again in reality, after 17 days crossing via NewYorrk

I have enjoyed -The Prinsendam- It is an old ship ,with all the sounds of it.

The service and the crew were excellent.

The cabin very large .I could walk with my Ferrari(rollator)around my Queensize bed.

It was the last part of the worldcruise and that was a little bit -strange-

Floating down -The Hudson-at 5.30.am up to NewYork was amazing and freezing.

The stewards served hot chocolat and croissants and we needed that very much.

From NY till the Azors it was cold and windy 7/8 force

But I like HIGH SEAS !

There were a lot of American war veterans aboard (1945 in Holland)

6/7 Dutchmen,the rest American.

The American are real fans from the Prinsendam.

The atmosphere was quite cozy, the excellent food had a lot of

Dutch influences.Brown/white/green beansoup,krentebrood,nassi goreng etc.

4 formals with a lot of tux and eveningowns at dinner,BUT the atmosphere

was not to strict.

There were passengers allready aboard more than 100 days.

They lived their own lives in the really large suites.

CZECHMATE

There were also CC members aboard, but the leading man was not there

I have met a few by accident,no real meeting, and some who told

to be aboard never let see their face.

So you see how important a leading man is.

You have done a excellent job with Henri.

So surprised you are still on line.

Have a good time visiting the PM together.

I am dreaming about my next cruise ,part of the grand tour 2006

Capetown- Mombay -Barcelona Notice ,on this moment still dreaming-----

Greetings to all,

Eternity (Ingrid)

So glad that you enjoyed your cruise - and maybe the bigger cabin was a huge advantage for you BUT I still feel sorry that you missed out on Opera. I feel sure that you would have loved the people and the ship and every day you would have had a new memory to hold forever..

I think that Henri and I will be the 2 that keep the board alive all through the Med season! There are still people who do not know all the wonderful things that MSC can offer and it is important for us to be here and help those people. We do not want them to be misled by false or inaccurate information. :-)

So although I go quiet next week when I am in U.K. soon I am back!

After all now I have Opera 2006 to anticipate with huge pleasure. :-)

In 2006

Opera in April from Fort Lauderdale, Cayo Levantado, Tortola, Martinique, Funchal, Malaga, Marseille, Genova.

Lirica in May from Fort Lauderdale, Cayo Levantado, Tortola, Martinique,

Funchal, Malaga, Barcelona and Genoa.

Glad that high in the sky there are good words about Lirica too. When I sailed in March 2004 Central America/Panama I enjoyed very much. Like Opera she is beautiful with good food and great service.

Hello Eternity,

nice having you back again.:)

Without no doubt you enjoyed your journey on de Prinsendam.

You were served well with this (a bit) stormy weather !!

Specially on this somewhat smaller ship.

Hopefully you enjoyed the beansoup, krentenbrood and nasigoreng (with pisang goreng ??) :D

It's must be a nice dream, your idea's for cruising 2006 from Capetown to Barcelona. Hope it will work out well for you.

We hope that you are 'weer volledig bij de mensen bent' ( fully better !) and fully recovered from the illness.

Greetings from both of Voorhout.

Henri.

Goedemiddag Henri,ik zie dat je online bent. How are you?

Longing for your next cruise?(like me)

How are the other CCmembers?

Do you have contact with them?

The Prinsendam CCmembers from the Trans Atlantic are different,I really believe you need some m/w to take the whole bunch with you and make them enthousiastic.

Greetings to all,

Ingrid ( Eternity)

Dear eternity,

of course a pleasure to welcome you at home.

I think timing and registry of CC is not right, because around the time you think I was online and you wrote your message I was on my bike home :D .

We are allright, thank you.

As the other members, Carol (glowing amber) and Mike were at our house a few weeks ago and next weekend Barry (Czechmate) and Daniel will be here. We are looking forward to it.

We are not so much longing to a new cruise. We are planning and looking for a roundtrip through Indonesia next year. Or... when we get a very good offer, we will go for a Nile-cruise in october/november.

As for creating a whole bunch I think you are right. Czechmate was/is a wonderfull host to organize all this for us.

Henri.

Hi Henri and Eternity

Glad that you are both in good health.

Henri I blush at your complimentary words. I think I did not do very much - it was every member of the group that contributed to make it a great experience and you more than helped with all the advance research for our ports of call.

We have started a group on Yahoo and many of us are posting messages there so that we can all keep in touch. Paul and Sue are almost ready to depart on their Baltic Cruise and Marge will in July be crusining with her wondeful little grandson. I think that Grandmother and grandson are going to have a happy time.

Henri we look forward so much to our visit with you and Marian. I am having trouble writing this as Ricki wishes to sit on my lap!!

It is wonderful how so many of us from this cruise are still keeping in touch and in fact have started our own Yahoo Group where we all post messages about daily happenings/events etc.

Truly friends for life and what a great group of people.

Although I gripe about the rough deal CruiseCritic MSC (e.g. no provisions for Reviews for Armonia and Sinfonia) in our case they did a great service in bringing us all together through this message board.
