Wanted to know the same thing. Is there a good beach you can walk to from the ship? We were there 10 years ago and I think there was a public beach nearby as well as a hotel where you had to pay for beach access.

Are the beaches here free or can they charge you to use the beach?

Thanks,

Tony

Sounds like this beach that I found someone's comment on (can anyone confirm with recent experience?):

As you walk off the pier stay to your left and you will see the entrance to Turtle Beach. There is a small admission charge around 2.00 (get hand stamped to allow re-entry later in the day) to enter this fenced in beach. Very nice beach safe and secure, food, chairs, restrooms, jet skis, etc
